Support the Mental Health Service for Ukrainians in Feniks!

Since the War in Ukraine began, Feniks has actively supported Ukraine and the Ukrainian community in Edinburgh. Our staff and volunteers got involved in the city’s donation centres and organised fundraisers for one of them. Moreover, since the approval of the Homes for Ukraine Scheme, we were the first to raise awareness of the risks and needs of this very new community arriving in Scotland. Thanks to the Equality and Human Rights Fund, we employed a Ukrainian Community Development Worker, whose main aim is to recognise the needs of the shaping community and support the development of Ukrainian Mental Health support in Feniks. Feniks joined the council and third sector networks to support the city’s response. We work closely with the Ukrainian Association in Great Britain and the Ukrainian and Polish Consulate in Edinburgh. We are also developing a network of Ukrainian professionals (psychotherapists and psychologists) to support their accreditation process to allow them to practice in the UK.

We are now fundraising to maintain the mental health support service for the Ukrainians in Feniks. Please donate in the box above!
