We are looking for a part-time (1 day a week) Admin Volunteers’ Co-ordinator who has experience in the charity administration, volunteer management and an ability to design and implement administration systems.
Feniks. Counselling, Personal Development and Support Services Ltd. is currently recruiting to deliver a three-year project funded by the Scottish Government through the Voluntary Action Fund. Its aim is to develop Feniks’s administration as well as improve employability of the migrant communities in Edinburgh.
As the Admin Volunteers’ Co-ordinator you will:
- Design and implement an effective administration and reception system
- Recruit, train and support volunteers who will help you develop and manage the system
- Establish links with the community groups and employability projects in Edinburgh
You will have an understanding of issues related to barriers to employment experienced by immigrants and an impact they may have on physical and mental well-being, . You will have an experience in volunteer management as well as organising and delivering trainings. You will be educated to the degree level or have a two-year relevant experience.
This post will require independence and proactive, but systematic thinking. We realise that it might be difficult to find a person matching all the criteria, hence a relevant training will be provided. As well as the candidate can expect support from the management and volunteers.
Due to the nature of this post we will require you to become a member of the PVG Scheme.

Volunteer with us!
Feniks for many years functioned only thanks to dedication of its volunteers. These days it also relies on their work and faith in Feniks’s mission. As a charitable organisation we are run by the Board of Directors, who volunteer their time and expertise to serve the community. All our projects and services are run by volunteers, this includes counselling, group work, Conversation Cafés, Active 50+ and administration.
