Regardless of pandemic, Feniks continues delivering all its services. With the joint effort of our staff and the volunteers all our projects have moved online and over the phone relatively seamlessly. Zoom and other modern technology inventions are used to communicate with our partners and clients. Thanks to the COVID-19 Recovery Funding from the various sources and the cooperation with BEMIS Scotland we are able to offer extended number of counselling hours and mental health workshops.

Feniks is a grass-roots charitable organisation set-up in 2007 to support Central Eastern European community in Edinburgh and Scotland. We provide culturally sensitive psychological support (therapy, group therapy and self-development workshops), cultural awareness trainings and community development projects, such as Leith Conversation Cafés and Mother and Toddler Group. We regularly run projects supporting Polish victims of domestic abuse.
Our aim is to address health inequalities faced by CEE immigrants in Scotland and tackle mental health stigma and discrimination. We also provide support the most vulnerable members of the community in the application to the EU Settlement Scheme.
See the project section for more details.
Clients interested in therapy can self-refer themselves. We also accept referrals from the organisations, please email email@example.com.
